For best sound quality we use a special fluid and cloth designed to clean out the grooves in your record. This brings back the clarity of the sound. We record the LP or tape at 44100 16 bit stereo sound. Along with that we use the best computer programs and top of the line audio units.

FROM YOUR HOUSE TO OUR STUDIO  PACKING TIPS

1. Always use bubble wrap to tightly secure your Record or Tape.

2. Always use insurance and a tracking numbers to secure your items!

When your package comes to our studio, we inspect it then clean off the record. In the case of Tapes, make sure the tape will play before shipping.  We then play the record to see what condition the sound is in. Once the LP or Tape is recorded, we roll up our sleeves and work on the sound. Most common sound in LPs are the pop & cracks. We eliminate most of that. We can usually do this by 85-90 % of the time. It depends on how deep the scratch is in the vinyl surface. Next, we work on the hiss. You should hear virtually no hiss. We complete the sound restoration process with stereo extension and graphic equalization. Once done, you will hear the difference. Once sounding muddy, your CD sounds crisp and clear.

Shipping policy

We ask that you put insurance on your packages that you send to us. Even though we have never had a problems with receiving packages, using insurance protects you from lost or damaged items. We are not responsible for lost or dameaged packages. As well you should use a tracking number. When this number is given to you, send it to me so I can look it up and let you know when I should receive your package.Make sure you pack anything you send me with care. Use a good amount of bubble wrap to secure your LPs or Tapes.

Refund Policy

As I have noted before, we can remove a good 85% of noise from your LPs or Tapes. However such noises like a deeply inbeded scratch can not be removed. If you are not satisfied with your CD let us know and we redo the LP or Tape again for free.  If you send us an 8 Track tape to be converted to CD, and we can not fix the tape; you will receive a full refund.

We are not responsible for lost or broken items. You must pack your items with care. Make sure you use insurance for your items. We have never had this problem with mail delivery. However it is always best to be safe about your belongings.

                                             Just the facts !

As you have already seen in various photos on the site, there are many reasons to convert to CD. We get many folks who have old recordings of a family member on a tape or record. We digitally enhance the recording so that the person speaking can be heard more clearly.

Secondly, for the average vinyl collector, if you have LP's from the 60's or older they are probably OUT OF PRINT. This means that this particular LP or Tape was never put out on CD. 

Most people nowadays do not have a record player to play their oldies. Now there is a way to take your older LP's and put them on CD.

Of course ! We do not keep your Records or Tapes. We simply ship everything back to you once the project is done.

In the last couple of years that we have been open, I have never had any problems with shipping.  We reccomend that you have your shipper insure the package and give you a tracking number. When you know what the tracking number is, simply send me an email at darth2191@yahoo.com and I can inform you when your package will come to my studio.

We use many different computer programs to remaster your LP or Tape.  Our Recoding are at 44100 HZ 16 bit stereo sound. We carfully remove unwanted cracks and clicks from Records including noise reduction. we also use other various  goodies to make the recording sound great.

Honestly, yes and sometimes no. We reccomend that you not ship them during the summer months. The heat is too much for them. Once a tape is baked the damage is done. 

We can not guarantee the success of a conversion to CD due to the tape's age.  We more then not end up opening up the tape and try to help it along. Under the tape are pressure pads. Without these pads, the tape will not play. If the pads are worn, I can replace them as I do have a good amount of 8 track parts. Otherwise when we crack the tape open, we take it apart and relubricate certain areas. As long as the tape spool itself has not shrunk, this should work. If you have a working 8 Track Player, it is best to see if the tape will play.  If I can not convert the tape to CD you will receive a refund. The only charge will be for shipping.
